Welcome to The Furnace

  Located on Crescent Street, The Furnace is the next great downtown Montreal recording studio. We offer a comfortable environment with top of the line gear, great acoustics, large live room and lounge with kitchen & shower. The Furnace is owned and operated by Shawn Murray, (producer, percussionist, engineer, guitarist, d.j) , Ilya Pauly, (engineer, producer, teacher, d.j) and Derrick Murray (producer, godfather). "With 15 years of experience, an array of musical backgrounds, and production credits on various projects, we are sure to not disappoint." Affiliated with the afrokats record label, the free oxygen band and d.j kobal, the furnace and afrokats now have five 45's , one 12" (solid pleasure), gogo jungles album (out in december 2006) and up comming releases including Papa Groove, VoodooMonx, our favorite Snooky an a compilation of sounds from The Furnace.
